Thank you Ed, you have clarified what coaching is. Many people are confused about the difference between teaching, training, consulting, councelling and coaching. I have just completed a 6 month online course learning to be a coach. As you have just spelt out, it is the “client’s” role to take action (learn) and the “coach’s” role to shine the light and support the “client”. It is up to individuals to take on the resonsibility to learn. And Iwan, I agree it is much more fun (and rewarding) to coach.

Hi Ed, it just struck me. When I´m teaching I´m standing in front of my audience teaching them “how to” and when I´m coaching I´m joining them in learning the skills. It is so much more fun that way.

Hi Ed, another great piece of advice. Like the backdrop – jump on the loop was a bit distracting though, obviously I need to work on my focus more!
